The end of the world has often been predicted in human history, on the wave of small details which have been blown up to giant revelations.<br />There's nothing wrong, I think, in giving certain speculations a serious analysis, but that should be done with a certain degree of astro-archeological precision that cannot certainly be found on Google images or Wikipedia. The calendar in your first picture is not Mayan, it is Aztec and was found in Mexico City.
